QR Code for Wedding Photos
PixelParty gives your wedding a QR code and an event link. Guests scan it, type their name and upload photos and videos straight to your private gallery. No app to download, no account to create, and no asking people to text you pictures three weeks later.

Every photo, one place
Collect every wedding photo in one place
Your photographer captures the day you planned. Your guests capture the day that actually happened: the speech nobody could keep a straight face through, the dance floor at midnight, the two of you when you thought no one was looking.
Those photos usually end up scattered across a hundred camera rolls and a group chat that goes quiet by Tuesday. Some arrive months later, at the wrong size, with somebody's thumb over the lens. Most never arrive at all, because asking eighty people for their photos is a job nobody wants after a wedding.
A wedding photo QR code fixes that by giving everyone the same place to put them, on the day, while they still have their phone in their hand and they are still in the room. You are not chasing anyone. The photos come to you.
Four steps
How the wedding photo QR code works
Setting it up takes about two minutes. Using it takes your guests about ten seconds.
Create your event
Name it, pick a date, choose a look. You get a QR code and a short event link straight away, and a free trial event so you can see the whole thing working before you pay.
Put the code where guests will see it
Download the QR code and print it on a welcome sign, table cards, your order of service or the back of a place setting. Anywhere people stop and look.
Guests scan and upload
They point a camera at the code, the gallery opens in their browser, they type a name and pick photos. No app. No signup. No account.
Watch the photos arrive
Everything lands in your private gallery as it happens. Put the live slideshow on a TV during the reception, and download the lot in full resolution afterwards.
The guest experience
Your guests do not need another wedding app
Everyone has been to a wedding where the photo thing did not work. Usually because it asked people to install something first. Here is the entire screen a guest sees.
Scan. Choose. Upload.
They point a phone camera at your code and your gallery opens in the browser they already use. They type a first name, pick photos and videos from their camera roll, and that is the whole thing.
- No app
- It runs in the phone's browser, so there is nothing to install.
- No signup
- A first name is all anyone is asked for. No email, no password.
- Photos and video
- Both upload the same way, straight from the camera roll.
PixelParty has iOS and Android apps if you want to run your event from your phone. Guests never need one, and never see a prompt to install anything.
What is included
Everything you need for wedding photo sharing
The photo collection is the product. The rest is what makes people actually use it.
Unlimited photos and video
Every paid plan takes as many uploads as your guests can send, video included. No per-photo limits and no storage upsell halfway through the reception.
Live slideshow
Photos appear on the screen seconds after they are taken. Cast it to a TV or projector at the reception, or open it as a link on a laptop.
Full-resolution downloads
Download everything, as many times as you like, at the size your guests uploaded it. Not a compressed copy, and not held behind a subscription.
Your own QR code and link
A custom code and a short event link you can print, share in a group chat or put on the invitation. Both point at the same gallery.
Disposable camera mode
A camera inside the gallery with filters powered by Snapchat, for guests who want the disposable camera feeling without the disposable camera.
Audio guestbook
Guests leave a voice message instead of writing in a book nobody reads twice. You get to hear them, not just read them.
The real thing
What your guests actually see
Three screens from a live PixelParty event, not a drawing of one.

1. Scan the code
Your event opens in the browser already on their phone. Nothing to install.

2. Choose what to share
Photos and video from the camera roll, the disposable camera, or a voice message.

3. It lands in your gallery
Everything in one place, with reactions, albums and full-resolution downloads.
Signage
Where to put your wedding photo QR code
The rule is simple: put it where guests naturally stop, sit or look. Most couples use two or three of these rather than one.
At the entrance
A welcome sign is the first thing people read and the moment they are most willing to do something. Catch them on the way in.
On every table
A small card by the centrepiece, where people sit for hours. This is the single highest performing placement.
At the bar
People queue at a bar with nothing to do and their phone already out. It is free attention.
Beside the guest book
They are already stopped and already thinking about leaving you something. Put the two together.
On your stationery
Order of service, place cards, thank you notes. The code still works after the day, so late uploads keep arriving.
Print it big enough
Two inches across is the minimum that scans reliably in low light. Keep good contrast and do not print it on a dark photograph.
What to put on the sign
The wording matters more than the design. Guests need to know what will happen when they scan, or they will not scan.
Say what it does
"Scan to share your photos with us" beats "Amy and Ross". People scan when they know what is on the other side.
Remove the doubt
Add "no app needed" in small type. It is the single thing that stops people, and one line answers it before they ask.
Print the link too
Some older phones will not scan cleanly. Your short event link underneath means those guests can still type it in.
The alternatives
Wedding photo QR code vs other ways to collect photos
All of these work, and plenty of weddings have used every one of them. They are just not equally good at the specific job of getting photos off eighty phones and onto yours, at full size, without you having to ask twice.
| Method | App or account needed | Videos | See photos on the day | Full-resolution download |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PixelParty QR code | No | Yes | Yes, live slideshow | Yes, unlimited |
| Shared cloud album | Usually an account, sometimes an app | Yes | Only if guests keep it open | Often compressed |
| Social media hashtag | An account on that platform | Yes | Yes, if you go looking | No, heavily compressed |
| Disposable cameras | No | No | No | Film, and you pay to develop it |
| Asking people afterwards | No | Yes | No | Whatever the group chat did to it |
Privacy
Who can see your wedding photos
Only the people you give the code to. Your gallery is private, it is not indexed by search engines, and it is not a social network.
Nothing is public
Your gallery lives behind your own event link. There is no public directory, no browsing other people's weddings, and nothing for a search engine to find.
You can approve photos first
Turn on approval and nothing appears in the gallery or the slideshow until you have seen it. Useful if the code is going on a sign at a big reception.
You can remove anything
You and your co-hosts can delete any photo or video at any time, including after the day. Guests can only add, never remove someone else's.
Know who shared each photo
Guests add their first name when they upload, so you can see who shared each photo without asking anyone for an email address or an account.
Keep the originals
Download your photos and videos at the resolution they were uploaded, as often as you like. The gallery is where they are collected, not where they live.
UK company, UK support
PixelParty is run from the UK, and there is a real person to email if something goes wrong the week of your wedding.
Afterwards
What happens after the wedding
The part most couples forget to ask about, and the part that decides whether you actually keep these photos.
Late uploads keep arriving
The code does not stop working at midnight. Guests who meant to upload and forgot can still do it on the Monday, and most of them do.
Download the lot
Take everything in one go, at the resolution it was uploaded. There is no per-download charge and no limit on how many times you do it.
Your gallery stays open
Twelve months on Classic, twenty four on Plus. Long enough to share it with family, order prints, and remember to save a copy somewhere else.
Share it with everyone
Send the same link to guests afterwards so they can see the whole day through everyone else's eyes, including the parts they missed.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How does a wedding photo QR code work?
You create an event, PixelParty generates a QR code and an event link, and you print or display the code at your wedding. A guest points their phone camera at it, the gallery opens in their browser, they type their name and upload photos and videos straight from their camera roll.
Do guests need an app to upload wedding photos?
No. Guests upload through their phone's browser. There is nothing to download and nothing to install. PixelParty has iOS and Android apps for hosts who want them, but a guest never needs one.
Do wedding guests need to sign up or create an account?
No. Guests type a name so you know who sent what, then upload. There is no account, no password and no email address required.
How do I create a QR code for wedding photos?
Create your event in PixelParty and your QR code is generated for you along with a short event link. You can download it to print on signs, table cards, invitations or an order of service.
Where should I put my wedding photo QR code?
Anywhere guests naturally stop, sit or look: the entrance, every table, the bar, beside the guest book, and on your stationery. Most couples use two or three placements rather than one.
Can guests upload videos as well as photos?
Yes. Photos and videos both upload the same way, and video is included on every paid plan.
How many wedding photos can guests upload?
Uploads are unlimited on every paid plan. You can get started for free and see everything working before you pay.
Can I display wedding photos live during the reception?
Yes. The live slideshow updates in real time as guests upload. Cast it to a TV or projector, or share it as a link on a laptop or tablet.
How much does a wedding photo QR code cost?
Classic is a one-time £34.99 for up to 500 guests and a 12 month gallery. Plus is a one-time £49.99 for unlimited guests and a 24 month gallery. There is no subscription.
Are my wedding photos private?
Yes. Your gallery sits behind your own event link and is not public or indexed by search engines. You can turn on approval so nothing appears until you have seen it, and you can delete anything at any time.
How long do the wedding photos stay online?
Twelve months on Classic and twenty four months on Plus, from the date of your event. Guests can keep uploading after the day, and you can download everything as often as you like while the gallery is open.
Can I download all the wedding photos in full resolution?
Yes. Downloads are unlimited and photos and videos come back at the resolution guests uploaded them, not a compressed copy.
Your guests already have the photos. Make sure you get them.
Set up your event in about two minutes, try it for free, and pay only when you are ready.
